Malaysia thew me a birthday bash like no other. Thousands turned out the park to hear the Prime Minister speak. OK, so the party was also a kick-off for the year-long "Discover Malaysia 2007" campaign, but there was a great parade, a ferris wheel, fireworks!
Happily feted, I returned to my hotel room, drew a bath, drank a bottle of wine, and admired the quirks of the room and the lobby's artwork, oddly reminiscent of a painting given to me years ago by a close friend.
